Many Community Gardens fail within three years due to the original founders moving on or retiring, lack of volunteers and absence of a multi-year plan to future-proof of the gardens.
Our charity can help communities in several ways:
Initial Planning – the site, the catchment area, finance and costs and volunteer availability.
Five Year Planning – in conjunction with the community we can develop a Five-Year plan and also a full project plan for all tasks.
Advice – we can advise on Safeguarding, Risk Assessments and Governance issues, leases and tenancies and a myriad of other ‘annoying’ things that get in the way of enjoying your project.
Horticultural Advice – we have teamed up with the Northern Counties Allotments Association to provide horticulture advice.
